You will learn right out of the gate here at Indian Springs Ranch that accuracy off of the tee is crucial! This Par 4 starting hole has tall grass, waste bunkers, and OB all the way down the left side. There is some tall grass and mounding on the right bordering the driving range. If you can put your drive just to the left of the 150 marker, it will leave you with the best approach into this green. The green has 2 tiers and slopes from back to front so be sure to have enough club to get to a back pin placement. There is no sand around this green.

Similar to the first hole, this Par 5 has tall grass, waste bunkers and OB down the left side. There is tall grass and OB on the right of this hole as well. Keep your drive to the left of the marker in the fairway to give yourself a chance on this hole. There is a small fairway bunker on the right side that you need to avoid on your 2nd shot. If you are able to keep it in the fairway, you will be rewarded with a fairly easy approach into this green that has no sand traps.

The 3rd hole is the first Par 3 at Indian Springs. There are 2 sand traps on the front right and front left of this green. The green drops off on the back side to OB past the fence. Choose the right club to avoid going long here.

#4 Indian Springs Ranch

4 tee
#4 Tee

A very accurate drive is required on this Par 4. The fairway narrows down at the 150 marker between two mounds. You can play it safe and lay up with your drive, or you can try to hit it far enough to get to another wide spot past the 150 marker. Your approach will require enough club to get to the green. The green is elevated so any short approach will probably not roll up to the putting surface. There is no sand around this green.

#5 Indian Springs Ranch

The 5th hole is the number 1 handicap at Indian Springs Ranch. A double dogleg Par 5 with a blind tee shot. Aim to the right of the old piece of farm equipment that you will see on the hill on the left. You don’t need a huge drive here since you will need to place your 2nd shot in a small landing area.

#5 Fairway

If you place your 2nd shot down the left side of the fairway, you will have a clear shot into this elevated green that has no sand around it.

#6 Indian Springs Ranch

A great Par 3, the 6th hole at Indian Springs requires a long carry over a natural area and sand trap. The green slopes from back to front so be sure to use enough club to get to a back pin placement. Anything short of the green will end up in the sand trap. There is room to bail out on the right side if you don’t think you can carry your shot to the green.

This short Par 4 will tempt the big hitters to go for the green. The best play is to hit about a 200-yard drive towards the large rock on the right side of the fairway. There is a fairway bunker on the left side short of the green and another on the right side. If you go for the green and miss to the right, your ball will go over the hill into tall grass. Don’t be a hero!

The 8th hole at Indian Springs is another Par 3. It is tucked up against a large hill on the right. There is a pond on the left side. The green is very long from front to back so be sure to use enough club to get to a back pin placement.

#9 Indian Springs Ranch

Another short Par 4, the 9th hole requires a straight drive. The fairway is hidden over a hill from the tee. Aim for the center of the green with your drive and you will be in perfect position for your approach. There is a sand trap on the left side of the green and the road is OB behind.

If you ever wondered what it would be like to hit a tee shot in the U.S. Open, the 10th tee shot at Indian Springs will let you know. A VERY narrow fairway surrounded by long grass on all sides, runs uphill from the tee. If you can hit the fairway, you will have an uphill approach to a green with no sand around it. There is a pond short left of the green.

The 11th hole is the first Par 5 on the back nine. You have a blind tee shot from the back tees on this hole. Aim straight down the cart path and you will be in good shape for your 2nd shot. The fairway is fairly wide as you approach this green. The green is slightly elevated so use enough club on your 3rd shot to get to the putting surface. There are no sand traps on this hole.

Every course has a bad hole and this is it at Indian Springs. A blind tee shot to an almost non-existent landing area that slopes towards a pond. Throw some wind in there, and this hole is a nightmare. The best shot off of the tee is about a 200-yard shot to the right of the elk on the hill. If you end up on the right side of the landing area, the picture below shows your approach. This elevated green is surrounded by tall grass and mounds. Be happy if you get past this hole with a bogey or better!

Number 13 is a short Par 3. There is a sand trap on the front left and a creek that runs down the right side. Make sure to have enough club for a back pin placement.

#14 Indian Springs Ranch

The 14th hole is a great Par 4. Uphill all the way to the green with a bunker in the middle left of the fairway. There is a drop off along the right side of this hole along with 3 sand traps up to the green. If you can hit a drive just short or just to the right of the fairway bunker, you will be in good position for your approach. There is a sand trap on the right side, and the green slopes from left to right.

Number 15 is a great downhill Par 3. There is a sand trap on the right front of this green. A creek runs down the left side in the trees. There is more room to miss on the right so be careful of a left side pin placement.

#16 Par 4

#16 tee

This Par 4 has trouble all the way down the right side. Keep your drive down the left to set up your approach. There is a pond on the right side of this green that you cannot see from the right side of the fairway. The 17th fairway runs parallel to this hole so aside from the small fairway bunker, there is room down the left side.

The Par 4, 17th hole will require a long straight drive. There is OB all the way down the right side. Your approach into this green will be over a bunker that is in the front middle of the green. This is a small green so choose your club wisely.

A dogleg right Par 5 brings you home at Indian Springs Ranch. There is OB far left and tall grass all the way down the right side. A drive down the left side of this fairway will set you up for a good approach into this green. This green is very wide so make sure to get your shot on the proper side of the putting surface. There is a bunker to the right of this green.
